What kinds of designer I would be in the future and now?

I tried to show my location on my education and what I do.

Because my nationality is South Korea, I used the map of South Korea as the base image on showing myself.

Currently, I don't think that I am capable to do professional job on design work.

I should try harder to adapt more on tools and design aesthetic. My goal for this semester is using as many effects as I can to improve my skills on design.

As a designer, I want be a problem solver who can come up with creative solutions that can help people to solve the problem.

As I work more about social issues, I am really interested in social problems. I think there are so many things that can be better so I might work more on those problems.

My inspirational designer changes time to time. Mostly it changes as my topic changes. I'd like to know various designers so I can adapt their characteristics in various works.

Before I study about graphic design, I thought it was about drawings, marketing, posters, or tools like illustrator and photoshop.

However, I found out that it is more about research and the problem solving.

It is also important to show the information visually by your target audience. However, most important thing is to deliver the message.

To deliver the message impactfully, I should know a lot about the topic I want to discuss to make people understand.

I made my friend to write down on how my work feels to him. I just explained the meaning of each design and let him think about how my work can be categorized.

It was quite interesting to see that some works I did viewed in different category.

I learned that my skills on delivering message was quite weak and I should try more to show it clearly but also aesthetically.

As a wrap up, I categorized on my projects, first year graphic design, and graphic design today.

I think my projects were focused on visual. From the experiment with my friend, I thought my work can be hard to read the meaning inside. I should try harder on that to improve both on visual and the message itself.

First year, I thought graphic design was about posters and tools. As I went through my first year, I found that solving problems of the social issues or the topic I want to talk about are important. As its visual is important, the meaning behind is also important.

Today, graphic design is used in everywhere. I think it is also important to think about how my work can be different with others to have competitive. Also, research is the important part too. As I should adapt in changing trend and technology, I should study more on designs and tools to be better.
