James Victore is an American art director, designer, and author. He was born in 1962. He dropped two collages in his early 20s and started the apprenticeship under Paul Bacon, who is the famous book jacket designer. Bacon's teaching lead Victore to work as graphic designer in the future.
In 1990, Victore founded his own company named James Victore Inc. Victore's poster design was strong enough to catch busy New Yorker's eyes on the street. His work showcased in various museums including Louvre in Paris and Stedelijk in Amsterdam.

His work caught my eyes because of the strong visuals of his posters.
I am currently working on gender hate expression use of teenagers for my infographic project. I thought his visuals of cruel and strong feelings inspired me for doing my infographic visuals.
I thought I can be more bold on the design like him.
Like he uses 'be creative warriors' and his class named 'bold and fearless poster' I think through his work and through his quote, I am able to know what kinds of person he is.
One of his belief, knowing about jazz and wine and auto-racing can make you a better designer describes about him and his work pretty clearly.

His powerful and strong work was enough to deliver the message he wanted. I was having quite a hard time to think about visual effects for social problems especially when it talks about dark truth. I think his work can be great resources for me to work on my infographic and also for me to improve more on expressing different styles of design rather than bright one.

I really liked how he thinks about graphic design. He said the graphic design exists best for social/political/cultural stuff not for selling socks. I had a belief that graphic designer is a person who can give solution to the problem to help the society and people. His quote about graphic design made me to think again about what graphic design is.
I will think about different ways to communicate with people by its circumstances to deliver the message more effectively.
