For the tutorial about infographic, I talked about gender conflict and the connection of work culture and low birth rate. I focused the situation in Korea where people fight and argue to the opposite genders and not having children because of many reasons but especially they do not have time for their own and for their family.
Koreans spend a lot of time in their work. about 46.8 hours per week. There was a new law announced that limiting 68 to 52 hours on working hours. Some people said it will give more time to be with family or friends however some people said that this will lower their income. The law about limiting work hours and maternity leave only work in large companies. The strict structure of company makes people hard to get maternity leave for their children and makes women about losing their job by starting new family of their own.
Gender conflict is serious in Korea. It has three big causes which is murder of a woman in Gangnam station, the novel Kim-Ji Young, 1982, and Metoo movement. Women started feminism movement and initially, it was about quality of women and men in our society but this feminism movement has been corrupted a bit like four no's (no dating/no marriage/no sex/no children) and mirroring method where using back disrespectful words towards men (using words that male-centered communities used).
Through this gender conflict, people started to have conflict on online, even in physically.
I decided to go with gender conflict, especially about use of gender hate words on online. People start to use hate words from the elementary school because it sounds fun.
Those injudicious use of hate words on online cause more serious division on genders.
I want to share about how people use hate words towards the opposite gender and how serious this problem is.
I will look more information on use of gender hate words in Korea and any other visual references that talks about similar topic.
